At last the man himself Willis McCoy also known as SR8AcEto5 final tabled a field of more than 2200 entrants; To take home 9th place in the $10+1 PokerStars $20,000 gurantee tournament. After more than 5.5hrs of play he reached his goal of final tabling a large tourney MTT.
Willis Mccoy- "Well it was a very very tuff tournament for me. Mainly because i am still new to the mtt arena. I have only played a handful of these tournaments and i like them very much.
I really feel that i threw away a perfect chance to win this thing. I picked up 66 in the sb v.s Wongs ATo. He put in a standard raise of around 2.5 to 3x the bb;And he also had over a million in chips to my half million.
I reshoved him 3x his bet and he smooth calls the flop. I totally miss the flop with 66 with the Ace showing. I feared the Ace but i was pot commited by then and had to shove. He calls and shows AT for top pair and the board bricks up for me.
I got alittle excited and took playing to win alittle to vague i guess. In that situation i should have shoved all-in or folded. But by not paying attention to my stack size and my M. And also the odds he was being offered to make the call i paid the price.
This was just another very hard lesson learned;And it will better prepare me for biger and better days down the road to MTT success!
